Darling

“The exhilarating ripple of her voice was a wild tonic in the rain.”
F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

                  Fresh-mind-fresh-day

Never was a gentle and quiet word
spoken but so clearly heard

Innocent as the new day
echoing across a souls pain

Whispering she is vulnerable
that was the angelic guise so

Eloquently draped with a voice
surrendering I had no choice

Her tender call seducing me
in a moment she had all I’d be

It made me feel amazingly alive
She the moon and I the tide

Even now in this dreary day
tenderly I can hear her say

Darling, Darling

No One Can See

“It’s just some instinct as old as fear: you seek the dark when you hide, you seek the light when the need to hide is gone. All the animals have it too. (“New York Blues”)”
Cornell Woolrich,
Night and Fear: A Centenary Collection of Stories

Flee my soul into the tide
Dive my soul into the night
No one can see

Float again, soon to be
The flavor of lust again in thee
No one can see

Something beyond calling to me
To gather my strength and give esteem
No one can see

Hiding alone amongst the trees,
again I rejoice in the fallen leaves
No one can see

Flying through the depths of seas
in the caves are heavens keys
No one can see
No one can see

Seedling of the Tide – Bloom where your planted

“Don’t go through life, grow through life.” – Eric Butterworth

Life is given riding with the tide

On those waves the seed will ride
Being planted with the water’s flow
Giving birth to a crowning show
Breaking it’s shell the water will nurse
the babe of life, breaking the tide’s curse
for the seed’s journey where never to end
had the tide not released it on the sharp bend
So follow your course, feeling the ebb and know
Soon you can be planted no more to roam

A Dance With Peace – Thankfulness

“Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.

changing-my-ways

Thoughts rush as the rising of the tide

Feeling the surge of water,
stating an undeniable purpose.

Inevitable force pushing the emotion of
my perceived condition away.

Searching for contentedness,
everywhere to be found

Coming from a revelation
of the placement of my soul

Giving myself to gratitude,
it removes the blinders

Leaving only the peace that dances with me
in joy of my discovery
