clouds hovering, the wind teasing,
making smoke tails.
peaceful, almost entrancing,
the wind in my hair.
a falling comrade in the green forest,
all carried by the wind.
How is it I’m taken by this wind?
Like a seed carried away from my past,

These things will help keep you safe and happy, and will prevent your dad from having to kill someone…
Love you girls,
Recovery is a four letter word. Not the cliché recovery like addicts use, but, the kind of recovery that every successful and joyful human being has to initiate on a regular basis. Having the tenacity to lay down a bad relationship and carry on, face a business mistake or failure and come back to win, publicly humiliate myself and still hold my head up high and in spite of all having a life well lived to the envy of all my naysayers. The ability to come back from the edge is indispensable to living my life with happiness and accomplishment, it’s the essence of all joy and success. By limiting my forward advancement with past mistakes or foibles, I’ve effectively short circuited my hope, dreams, loves, and triumphs. Do yourself a favor, come back from that disappointment, failure, or relationship and try again, don’t give up…you can succeed at whatever you believe, so believe the best about yourself, and enjoy your recovery. Recovery is a four letter word, WORK. Just do it.
Those arms have made me strong enough to live and be safe from the dust.
Breath of coals consumes
the compliantly relented peace of many
Leaping from dreams and
defiling with hungered presence
“Come my enemy, give life to me by your hate”
– “Come my enemy, I know success by your presence”
Contrary to popular opinion, getting what I need by ignoring the needs of those around me is a sure path to unhappiness. There’s a spiritual principal that determines my happiness is dependent on giving time, energy, or provision to those around me. When I focus on helping others along the way, I’m equipped to be happier and more content then ever possible. This isn’t so that my happiness and goals are dependent on other people but it’s to consider the needs of others along the way to my goals. When I lay down my plans to assist someone along my way, when I give place to compassion, I discover a key to all success (with success being defined not only as an increase, but as contentment in that increase). Take time today to look outside your world, look beside your path, and find those that need help. As you help them, you are helping yourself to find the best life possible and be content in your success.
