He Will Never Stop – Endurance in spite of opposition

“If any of you have a desire to be mediocre, you will probably find that you have already achieved your ambition.” – Hugh B. Brown

Sweat drops find their way down his brow

Sword drops resting on the ground
One more swing to win this victory
Never will he stop

Sounds of the crowd who never understand
Shouts of their doubt force his hand
One more try to break free
Never will he stop

Accusations thrown out of animosity
Ridiculous minds seeking a curiosity
One more valiant swing
Never will he stop

Its the end of a thing that is better than its start
Pushing past mediocrity, his fight a fine art
One more heave to the end
Never will he stop

Seedling of the Tide – Bloom where your planted

“Don’t go through life, grow through life.” – Eric Butterworth

Life is given riding with the tide

On those waves the seed will ride
Being planted with the water’s flow
Giving birth to a crowning show
Breaking it’s shell the water will nurse
the babe of life, breaking the tide’s curse
for the seed’s journey where never to end
had the tide not released it on the sharp bend
So follow your course, feeling the ebb and know
Soon you can be planted no more to roam

And So It Begins – an end to pain

“A fool’s paradise is a wise man’s hell.”
Thomas Fuller

And so it begins, my journey through hell

Change in my life, at the tolling of death’s bell
Pick up the pieces, never yielding the spell
Still I press on, advance, though it’s just as well
It will soon end, my journey through hell
